The measurement plan

What a check on the floor looks like.

A measurement plan defines, per product group, what gets measured, how often, and what happens when a value falls outside. These are the kinds of rule that end up on the screen at the line.

Does this replace our quality manual?
No. Your manual describes what you measure and why; this system records that it happened, by whom and with what result. The check lists and tolerances you keep on paper today move to the screen at the line. The procedure stays yours, the registration becomes automatic.
Our operators work from check sheets. What changes for them?
The order of the work stays the same, the sheet becomes a screen. What disappears is retyping it afterwards and hunting for the right sheet. What you gain is the operator seeing a value fall outside tolerance right away, instead of someone noticing two days later.
Can we set our own measurement plans and tolerances?
Yes. Per product group you define which measurement happens how often, with which lower and upper limit. When a specification changes you adjust it where it is defined, not on every sheet separately. Every change stays visible in the history.
What can we show at an audit or on a customer complaint?
The measurements behind an order: which value, what time, which machine, which operator. What an audit expects differs per sector and per customer. We go through what you need to be able to demonstrate and set those fields up.
